Athabasca Glacier
In August 2002, my wife-to-be and I visited Canada and had the opportunity to climb on the Athabasca Glacier in the Canadian Rockies. It was a neat trip, though Danielle found it to be a little too cold for her liking. We trekked up on the glacier viewing various features and enjoyed the opportunity to get out on a glacier, a first for us both. Shortly after descending from the glacier we were confronted with a snow storm that completely surprised us given that it was the beginning of August. Not something we see back home.
